Cruinnithe na Tuismitheoirí- Múinteoirí

We thank all parents for their attendance at the parent teacher meetings recently. Our teachers found the meetings very informative and we hope that you did too.

If you have a particular concern outside of the normal parent-teacher time regarding any aspect of your child’s progress and wish to meet your child’s teacher, you are asked to contact our school secretary and a mutually convenient appointment will be arranged with your child’s class teacher or support teacher.

19th January: School Closure – There will be staff in-service on the day on the new Pimary Maths Curriculum.

Imeachtaí na Scoile :

Ms. Lewis has been working on developing a wellbeing space upstairs near the beautiful wood carved art piece created by Caroline Conway. It is a lovely quiet space for reading or just to relax. Our teachers and pupils have been using it already.

Our football leagues are continuing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our thanks to Seán Greene and Ms. Casey for organising same.

Ms. Greene has resumed Choir Club during lunchtime on Tuesdays for 2nd-6th classes. The children will be covering a range of genres from traditional to contemporary songs. Similarly, there is a lunchtime Trad Group on Wednesdays for Irish traditional musicians who are members of their local Comhaltas groups. The children are very excited and enthusiastic about further promoting music in our school.

Éadaí Scoile

Our teachers and pupils have agreed that during this cold weather December to February mid-term break the boys and girls will wear tracksuit bottoms. On the days they have football leagues wear thei togs underneath their tracksuit.

Invitation

It’s lovely to hear the sound of Christmas carols in the school at the moment. Ms. Greene and our teachers are busy preparing the children for our Carol Service on the 22nd December in St. Paul’s church. You are invited to attend@11a.m. on the day.

Kind regards,

Cyril Duggan
