An Chéad Fhaoistín
First Confession took place this Tuesday 8th in St. Paul’s Church in Emo. Our thanks to Ms. Molloy for preparing the children so well. Our thanks also to Fr. Dooley and Fr. Eugen for all their help.
Cóineartú: Confirmation
Fr. Dooley and Fr. Eugen celebrated Confirmation with the 6th class children on Thursday 28th March. A special mention to our 6th class teacher Ms. Greene who, once again, did a superb job in preparing the confirmation children and the choir children for the ceremony.
Cúrsaí Spóirt
Football coaching continues with Laois GDO Kevin Swayne on Tuesdays for children from Senior Infants – 4th class.
Hurling/camogie is ongoing for 3rd – 6th class with Cumann na mBunscol fixtures taking place for 5th and 6th class children every week. We will know in the coming weeks if any of our teams have qualified for finals.
Entrepreneurship
The 5th and 6th class children have immersed themselves in a world of entrepreneurship over the past 6 weeks through Sam’s Business Bus. The weekly webinars allowed the students to explore their local area to find and learn from fantastic entrepreneurs, producing case studies that spotlight local business leaders.
Also, the students of 6th class were recently given the opportunity to take part in an Enterprise Awareness workshop provided by Laois Local Enterprise Office.
