Dear parents,

Please see some notices for your attention.

Tionól na Scoile ; School Assembly

Our assembly is a small reflection of some of the excellent work ongoing in this school.Last Friday we hosted a digital assembly in our school . It was the turn of juniors/ seniors first and second classes. Children remained in their rooms whilst viewing the other classes and principal on their smartboard. Tomorrow, our focus will be on 3rd , 4th , 5th and 6th classes . Pupils are generally very proud of their work and love the opportunity to talk about it. They also love to see what the other classes are doing.

As November is the month of the holy souls , we traditionally pray for people who have passed on before us. Mr. Slevin’s class set up a memory tree downstairs and Ms. Greene’s class set up the memory tree upstairs where  the children can place the names of relatives that have passed on. We will remember them at assembly and in our class prayers over the next few weeks .We are continuing to focus on the value of RESPECT this term and we are seeing more and more examples of it in our school.

Cruinnithe  Tuismitheoirí/Múinteoirí : Meetings with Parents

We regard parent/teacher meetings as an extremely valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to get to know one another and to exchange information which enables us to do our best for your children. Although we cannot have face to face meetings this year, teachers will contact you by phone to discuss your child’s progress. These calls will take place during the week of the 23rd to the 27th November. The call time slots will be available to view on Aladdin and you will have to choose the times that best suit you. Priority in the first place will be given to parents with three and four children, then to parents with two children and finally parents with one child. Teachers will have a certain amount of information to get through during the call so if there is anything specific that you wish them to address please e-mail teachers in advance of the meeting. Teachers will send their school e-mail address to you next week. We thank you all in advance for your co-operation with this system.
