Dear Parents,

See below some notices for your attention:

Tús maith leath na hoibre. A good start is half the battle and our staff would like to congratulate both children and parents on adapting to the new school routines so quickly and preparing the children so well for their return to school. It’s hard to believe that we are back in school a week today and we are delighted with the progress made in that time. A special congrats to our new junior infants and their parents. Ms. Boyle and Ms. Annmarie are full of praise for the way that they are settling into life in Emo N.S.

New Junior Infants

Parents are reminded that from Monday 7th September the juniors will have a full day up to 1.30p.m.

Old school Uniform Collection for charity

Just a reminder that this collection will take place on tomorrow and Friday only. Please place the uniform items in the bag under the canopy at the front door.

Parking

Thank you for keeping the parking spaces nearest the community centre free for stop and drop in the mornings. Even on wet mornings parents are requested to use the Community Centre car park only for safety reasons. Only staff cars and busses are permitted inside the gates of the school. Please inform child minders, grandparents or any person who is a car user and may have to pick up your child.

Medical and Contact Details

Please ensure that the school has necessary medical information in respect of your child by updating your child’s details in their profile on Aladdin.

Confirmation and Communion 2019/20

The Parish will confirm dates for last year’s Confirmation and First Communion next week . We will let you know as soon as we hear.

Congratulations to Ciarán Donoghue (last year’s sixth class) who won an academic and sporting scholarship for St. Mary’s C.B.S. Portlaoise. Well done Ciarán.

Kind regards,

Cyril Duggan
