Dear Parents,
There are some important notices which I would like to bring to your attention.
Sixth Class Graduation
We had graduation on Wednesday 26th June where we celebrated the end of the year for our 6th class. I would like to compliment them on their achievements during the course of this year and others, in many different spheres of school life.
Our thanks to Ms. Greene for organising the graduation and to the Parents Association for organising the refreshments.
The staff and I would like to wish them the best of luck on their onward journey. With sixth class departing we are also losing some parents. A special thank you to them for their support and involvement in school life over the duration of their child’s education here in Emo.
Class requisites for next year
As you are aware from last year there is no charge/fee on books and copies to parents. Each class has a list of requisites for which there is a charge. We have agreed with the Parents Association that the school would purchase these items in bulk to reduce costs etc. A requisites fee will appear on Aladdin later today for those who wish to get it paid now .

- A huge congratulations to Ms. Bohan who brought home a European silver medal last weekend . She represented Ireland in the European Aqua bike Championships in the 25-29 age bracket.
- Past pupil and Irish athlete , Ava O’Connor visited the school on Tuesday and gave our pupils a brilliant insight into the life of an athlete. The children were fascinated with her story. Our thanks to Ava for taking the time to visit the classes.
Focal Buíochas:
We are very grateful for the help and support of so many parents in our school. This has long been a hallmark of Emo National School. A special word of thanks to the Parents’ Association and Board of Management of the school who do tremendous work in the background.
Finally, on behalf of everybody in Emo NS, may I take this opportunity to say well done to all our pupils. They should be very proud of the work that they have done this year. We look forward to meeting you on the 29th August. In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy a lovely summer break.
