Health and Safety

Parents have reported a couple of dangerous incidents in the car park over the last few weeks. Our teachers have revised safe cross code procedures with the children and gone through how they should only walk in the car park and use footpaths as much as possible.

Please see the document at the link below which guides how we use the car park outside the school gates. It’s important for the safety of all the children and adults using the car park that these guidelines are observed. It is particularly important that you make your child minder, grandparents or any other possible car park user aware of these guidelines.

Many thanks in advance for your co-operation on this important matter.

Special Class

As you are aware one of two special class has now been sanctioned for our school in line with Department of Education and Skills (DES) criteria. The second class will open subject to demand. The Board of Management submitted an application for the building of these classes last October. This application is being processed at the moment and will include the provision of a backup heating system for the school.

In the meantime, the DES has approved the provision of temporary accommodation for Sept 22. The Board of Management will work towards putting that in place in a suitable location on the site to allow for building to take place at a later stage.
